HubFit MCP

Connect HubFit to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Muse or Perplexity and ask about your clients in your own words.

HubFit MCP Overview

The HubFit MCP server connects HubFit to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Muse or Perplexity. Once connected, you can ask about your business in plain words, in any language, and the assistant reads the answer straight from your workspace:

  • "Which check-ins are waiting for my review? Summarize each one in a line."
  • "Who set a personal record this week?"
  • "Who was under their protein target on most days this week?"
  • "Add a task for me to call everyone who hasn't checked in for two weeks, due Friday."

The assistant can also take actions for you, such as reviewing a check-in, messaging a client or adding a task. It asks you to approve each one before anything changes.

MCP is on every paid plan, from Standard up. Each assistant may also have its own requirements, listed in the table below.

Connecting Your Assistant

1
Go to Settings > MCP
2
Under Connect an assistant, choose the assistant you use
3
Follow the steps in the window that opens. Click Copy to copy the HubFit server URL and paste it into your assistant when asked
4
Your assistant opens a HubFit sign-in page. Sign in, choose your workspace if you're in more than one, and click Approve

Your password goes to HubFit, never into the chat.

AssistantWhere to add HubFitRequirements
ClaudeCustomize > Connectors > Add custom connectorWorks in the Claude app on your phone once added
ChatGPTPlugins > + > Add custom MCP server, with OAuthA paid ChatGPT plan
GeminiOn gemini.google.com: Settings > Connected apps > Add a custom appA personal Google account. Add it on the web and it shows in the Gemini app too
GrokOn grok.com: Connectors > New connector > Custom
PerplexityCustomize > Connectors > Add custom > Add MCP connector, with Remote and OAuthIn an organization, an admin may need to allow custom connectors first
MuseStart a new chat and send the message shown in HubFitSave it as a skill so every chat can use it

Once connected, the assistant's tile in Settings > MCP shows Connected.

If your assistant doesn't use HubFit for a question, turn the connector on for that chat (the + menu in Claude, the tools menu in ChatGPT), or start your question with "Using HubFit, …".

The Approval Screen

When you sign in, HubFit shows what the assistant is asking to do before you approve, for example:

  • Read your clients' profiles, check-ins, workouts and nutrition, habits and metrics, and health data
  • Read and add notes on clients
  • Add new clients and send them their login details
  • Read and update your tasks
  • Review your clients' check-ins
  • Send messages to your clients as you

Click Approve to connect, or Cancel to stop. If the sign-in page expires, start connecting again from your assistant.

What the Assistant Can Do

The assistant can read your clients, check-ins, completed workouts, exercise history, nutrition logs and targets, habits, metrics, Apple Health and Health Connect data, notes and tasks. It can also answer questions across every client at once, such as who hasn't trained, logged food or checked in for 10 days.

Only six actions change anything in HubFit:

ActionWhat happens
Add a clientCreates the client, emails them their login and can run an onboarding flow for them
Review a check-inMarks the check-in reviewed and sends your comment to the client by email and push
Send a messageSends a chat message from you, in your chat with the client. They're notified straight away
Add a noteAdds a note to the client. A shared note shows in the client's app and sends them a push
Add a taskAdds a to-do to your Tasks page. Only your team sees it
Update a taskChanges a task's title, due date, assignee or client, or marks it done

To keep the assistant to answers only, turn off the tools that change data in your assistant's connector settings.

For every tool and more example prompts, see the MCP setup guide.

Who Sees What

The assistant sees exactly what you can see in HubFit:

  • Workspace owners and admins reach every client and every task
  • Standard team members reach only the clients assigned to them

Anyone on your team can connect their own assistant. Each connection is tied to the person who signed in and the workspace they chose, and messages are sent from that person's own chat with the client.

Managing Connected Apps

Settings > MCP > Connected apps lists each connection with the app, where it's used and when it was last used.

  • Workspace owners see every app anyone on the team has connected, and can disconnect any of them
  • Admins and team members see and disconnect only their own

To disconnect, click Disconnect and confirm. The app loses access to HubFit straight away, and you can connect it again later. Removing the connector in your assistant works too.

Limits

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work in languages other than English? Yes. Ask in any language your assistant understands. Anything it writes to a client, such as a message or a check-in review, is in whichever language you ask for.

Can I use it on my phone? Yes. Add HubFit once on the web, and it works in your assistant's phone app, including the Claude app with voice. Connecting and disconnecting are done on the web in Settings > MCP.

Can it use HubFit together with my other tools? Yes. One prompt can use HubFit alongside other connectors in your assistant, such as Google Calendar, Canva or Slack.

Is MCP on the free plan? No. MCP is on paid plans. On the free plan, the sign-in page asks you to upgrade before connecting.

Does HubFit train AI models on my data? No. HubFit only sends your assistant the data a question asks for. How your AI provider handles that data is covered by their own terms and settings.

Can text in a check-in or note trick the assistant? Check-in answers, workout notes and client notes are written by people, and text in them could try to instruct your assistant. Read every action before approving it, especially when other tools are connected in the same chat.
